Hey, who is he calling a dummy?

Hi Les,
I like it too. It is very “straight to the point.” I think the part about irresistable grace could be better, though. It needs to communicate that our wills are part of what God saves, not part of what effects our salvation. I can’t see any way to make the door-knocking analogy work for that.
Since this kind of statement rarely–if ever–impresses anyone who does not already agree, I think we must be the dummies he is referring to! Oh well, Ive been called worse.
Hi Kevin,
I was really trying for something a little humorous, something a dummy would say. Not to say I didn’t appreciate it for what it is. You’re right about the irresistable grace thing.
Thanks for the link. Too many times folks can be so careful with their words and put so many parameters around what they say that nothing is really communicated. I am reading Packer’s Evan & Sov of God now and he is right: all Christians believe in God’s complete soveregnty. Unfortunately they are more committed to their philosophical system to let the Bible speak…
